New York City-based Capital Art Group provides fine art & personal property appraisal, appraisal review, collection management, and litigation support services to clients nationwide.

Capital Art Group is led by founder Maria Tarrence, Accredited Senior Appraiser and one of few professionals to hold specialty designations with multiple leading appraisal associations, including ASA, AAA, and ISA. Her qualifications encompass Fine and Decorative Arts and span two disciplines - Appraisal and Appraisal Review & Management.

Maria works with a team of highly regarded, accredited appraisers, each a recognized specialist in their respective field of collecting, and provides clients with trusted expertise across a wide range of personal property categories. 

All appraisal and appraisal review reports are prepared in compliance with USPAP (The Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice)- the standard of care for the appraisal profession established by The Appraisal Foundation.

Maria Tarrence adheres to the Principles of Appraisal Practice and Code of Ethics of the American Society of Appraisers ensuring every report is credible, objective, and presented in a clear, thorough, and professional manner.
